What if women ran everything? (Spoiler: we'd still avoid EOFY.)
Hiya,
I watched a movie this week.
Ladies First on Netflix. Sacha Baron Cohen plays an arrogant, chauvinistic male executive who hits his head and wakes up in a world run by women. Women in the CEO chairs. Women dominating the boardroom. Men making the coffee and getting talked over in meetings.
It was funny. Really funny. And then a little uncomfortable when the misogyny and sexism got flipped and you realised how familiar it all looked from the other direction.
I loved it. Go watch it.
And then I came back to reality, where women in business are absolutely taking charge and also absolutely still avoiding their EOFY finances.
Because here's the thing.
We can run the whole show. The clients, the strategy, the team, the household, the invisible load that nobody else seems to notice. We do all of that. And then the end of financial year arrives and something in our brain goes very, very quiet.
It's not because we don't care. It's because financial admin doesn't have dopamine attached to it. There's no immediate reward, no interesting problem to solve, no client to delight. Just numbers and receipts and the quiet, creeping shame of knowing it's been sitting there longer than it should have.
This week I also joined the gorgeous Sarah Thomson on the Digital Queens podcast to talk about exactly this. How we as neurodivergent women in business struggle to do the things that don't light up our brains. And what we can actually do about it.
And because EOFY is not going to sort itself, I created something for this.
Four weekly working sessions. 5, 12, 19 and 26 June.
Not a lecture. Not a system. Just me, sitting beside you while you actually move the thing. I've lived the cost of leaving it. I know exactly how to get you moving. And I know that the pile is never just the pile, so one of our sessions deals specifically with the emotional side of EOFY. Because that part matters too.
This is open to any woman in business. You don't need to be neurodivergent. You just need a pile that needs slaying before 30 June.
$159 AUD inc. GST.
And if you book before 30 May, that's this Friday, you save $20 with the earlybird price. Two days. Then the discounted price disappears.
Not sure if it's right for you? Come and have a chat first. I'd love to meet you.
The world might not be run by women yet. But our finances can be.

P.S. If I was the CEO of a big corporate, there would be a sharp increase in coloured furniture and glitter. Just saying.
